Martin Wiedermann
I have been a CEO and a chairman of the board of Central Securities Depository („Central Depository“ or „CDCP“) of Slovak Republic since 2013 and a Member of the Board since 2012.
CDCP’s core services include the initial recording of securities in the book-entry system, providing and maintaining top-tier level securities accounts, and operating a securities settlement system.
As a CEO I am responsible for Book-entry Securities in total value of 95 billion Euros and up to 50 billion of transfers per year.
CDCP had suffered many years of stagnation and financial losses, yet together with my team we have successfully reached positive economic results with high profit from 2013 to date.
In 2019, we received Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation certification, which confirmed CDCP’s successful accreditation for the issuance of LEI to entities in the jurisdiction of the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic.
Past
In 2005, I co-founded SHIFT, a.s., an independent investment and consulting company focused on private equity and venture capital with EUR 5 million assets under management. As chairman of the board, I was in charge of the company’s coordination and strategic management, structuring projects, financing, and investor relations. SHIFT projects included:
- FVE Solnice, s.r.o. – a company owning a total capacity 2.7 MWp photovoltaic power plant in the Czech Republic near Solnice village. The project was successfully sold in 2018.
- Sun Engineering, SRL - the romanian company owning the photovoltaic power plant Tartasesti of total capacity 2,8 MWp, placed close to Bucharest.
- Poystni & MacLer, s.r.o. - non life insurance brokerage and consulting.
- LipKy - construction of a recreational zone in Liptovské Klačany village
From 1995, I was a board member of Renta Investments with over EUR 4 million assets under management.
